Tomato Minibel

Small red cherry open pollinated tomato on short determinate plants.

Minibel is a early/mid, bite-sized, cherry tomato with a sweet flavour. The determinate (bush) plants grow to about 12 inches and do not require staking. Similar in size to Maskotka, like all bush cherry tomatoes it gets raided as people walk around the garden. Good for tubs and hanging baskets and works well in the “dead” space in greenhouses and polytunnels above the borders growing short plants (where it is also out of the reach of children).

Its dark foliage and bright fruit also make it good for borders. But beware, outdoor plants can get blight later in the season.

It was apparently developed in the Netherlands in 1998.
