Tomato Raspberry Oxheart

Theoretically, a large heart shaped red heritage tomato on indeterminate plants.

Description

A oxheart shaped beefsteak tomato from the 2018 seed swap. Possibly similar to Cuore di Bue or Sunset’s Red Horizon but (according to the web) originates from Poland rather than Italy. We hoped that this would be a benefit to us as – for some unknown reason – we struggle to grow Italian varieties of tomatoes (possibly our climate isn’t warm and sunny enough) but it proved not to be the case, not a single tomato and only four seeds left over from the 2018 swap to try again.

2022: One of our readers disagrees, having bought seeds from Seed Parade (UK) he had some very tasty tomatoes “big with few seeds, great with basil & oil”. He’s going to grow them again. Proves you can win some of them.
