I haven’t grown potatoes since giving up the allotment. Even then, I really only grew them to fill space. However, this year I’ve decided to minimise the amount of time I spend growing vegetables but I still need to fill the various spaces. So, potatoes get a chance this year. I’ll plant a few in one of the raised beds, (the other will be carrots) and some in the space behind the tunnel which isn’t really fit for anything (I’ve tried growing peas and swiss chard but they haven’t prospered.
I’ve bought first earlies as my view is that maincrop are just as good bought from the supermarket and somebody else has to store them.
Put them to chit yesterday.
