Red/Yellow striped bell shaped heritage tomato on indeterminate plants.
Description
Striped Stuffer is a bell-pepper shaped red and yellow striped, hollow tomato, ideal for stuffing. The indeterminate, regular-leafed plant produces mid season fruit which range up to the size of a cricket ball. The lack of seeds, strong, thick walls and large internal space make them ideal for stuffing. Together with Yellow Stuffer (which in my opinion doesn’t taste as good) and red, yellow or green bell-peppers, they make an entertaining meal. Just cut the top off and stuff with any mixture that you would use for stuffed bell-peppers (but take care as they collapse if overcooked so its better to use pre-cooked fillings). However, they don’t really taste nice raw, nor do they make particularly good sauces.
