A medium sized red & brown/green striped tomato
Description
We got this from the 2018 seed swap and will plan to grow it in 2019. I can’t find a lot about this cultivar on the web, (unless its Pink Tiger in which case I’ve grown it before).
However, when we have more of our own information we’ll update this page but we’ve started off by comparing it with Tigerella although I would think that Tigerella is larger.
August 2019 Update
I wouldn’t call it red/brown its more red/orange but, as I expected, it seems to be a smaller version of Tigerella. Reasonable flavour but one of those tomatoes that seems to be a compromise between a small cherry (for salads) and a large tomato (for cooking). Certainly better flavoured than Giallo D’Iverno (which looks very similar) but of this size my preference remains Darby Striped although I think I would grow Red Zebra when limited for space.
