Description
Vintage Wine is a medium sized pastel-hued golden striped beefsteak tomato with mild flavour. A mid-ripening, indeterminate, potato-leafed, medium sized (5 – 8 oz) tomato with unusual pale pink fruits with golden stripes. It is full of flavour and an ideal companion to the larger beefsteak varieties. The skin is very thin and it is easily damaged which means that you have to be careful both when picking and storing the fruit, its best to use secateurs to cut them from the vine. However, the taste is excellent.
One of the excellent Tom Wagner’s breeding program introduced in the late 1990’s.
