Tomato Polish Linguisa

Red elongated plum shaped open pollinated tomato on indeterminate plants.

Description

From the 2018 Seed Swap, the description on the web sounds much like Red Buffalo Horn, a paste tomato.

The first of these ripened in mid-September (but its been a funny year). As you can see, not particularly large (and this was the biggest of the ripe ones). There are a number of larger fruits on the vine and they eventually ripened.

The fruit had strange black blemishes on them which (I think) must have been some sort of insect strike but I’ve never seen it before and, whilst it didn’t seem to affect the fruit (the blemish came off when the fruit were skinned) it isn’t something that adds to attractiveness. However, the advantage over Roma and San Marzano is that it does at least ripen.
