Red Beefsteak heritage tomato on indeterminate plants.
Description
An Italian Beefsteak (which for us introduces its own problems) Pantano has a number of names (Il Pantano Romanesco, Pantano Il Romansco, Pantano) which all seem to describe an moderate sized beefsteak with slightly fluted shoulders which, when we grew it in 2014, produced a somewhat spindly plant with only a few tomatoes of moderate size and flavour for a beefsteak tomato (maybe it needs more warmth and sun than we can provide).
Its need for warmth is (I think) shown by the fact that it had megablooms on the early flowers but these didn’t actually develop into fruit.
Not something that we would grow again.
