Dark brown cherry open pollinated tomato on strong indeterminate plants.
Description
Rosella is an extremely productive cherry tomato with brown/purple fruits. The fruit are smaller and browner than Black Cherry (but not as brown as Brown Berry) but the plant is extremely vigorous, producing large quantities of thin skinned, sweet tasting tomatoes which seem to resist early splitting (unlike many of the other black cherry tomatoes). They do split later on in the season if they are over-watered.
We’ve grown Rosella for a number of years and it is certainly one of our favourite cherry tomatoes both for taste and quantity.
Rosella is one of the cherry tomatoes bred by Gourmet Genetics, a British company based near Spalding Lincolnshire.
